Setup guide
Connect adgensy to your AI assistant
Two steps: connect your marketing accounts to adgensy, then add adgensy as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
1. Connect your accounts
- Create a free account with Google.
- Our setup assistant opens and walks you through connecting Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics 4, Search Console and Tag Manager. Each one is a standard OAuth sign-in with the platform.
- Choose which ad accounts are active. Your AI assistant only sees active accounts.
You can manage connections later by asking the setup assistant, or on the Accounts page.
2a. Add adgensy to Claude
https://www.adgensy.com/api/mcp- In Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app), open Settings → Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector.
- Name it adgensy and paste the connector URL above. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty.
- Click Connect, sign in to adgensy if asked, and approve access.
- In a new chat, make sure adgensy is enabled in the tools menu, then ask: “List my connected ad accounts.”
Custom connectors are available on all Claude plans; the Free plan is limited to one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector for the organization first and each member then connects their own account. Menu names can change — see Anthropic's guide.
2b. Add adgensy to ChatGPT
https://www.adgensy.com/api/mcp- In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Create a new app / connector and paste the connector URL above. Choose OAuth authentication.
- Sign in to adgensy when prompted and approve access.
- In a new chat, enable the adgensy connector and ask: “List my connected ad accounts.”
Custom MCP connectors in ChatGPT require developer mode on a paid plan, and on Business and Enterprise workspaces an admin may need to allow them first. Whether write actions are available depends on your ChatGPT plan. See OpenAI's guide for the current requirements.
Permissions
When you approve a connector, you grant it a set of scopes. By default, assistants get read-only access; changing your accounts is a separate permission.
| ads:read | Read ad accounts and performance datadefault |
| ads:write | Propose ad changes and apply them with your approval |
| analytics:read | Read GA4 and Google Tag Manager configurationdefault |
| seo:read | Read Search Console and Semrush SEO datadefault |
| workspace:read | Read saved reports and account historydefault |
Even with write access, every change is prepared as a proposal and only applied after you approve it in your assistant.
Revoking access
- Disconnect an AI assistant on the Accounts page under AI connections — it loses access immediately.
- Disconnect a platform (e.g. Meta) on the same page; its tokens are deleted.
- You can also remove adgensy from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
